Wall-house from X-mas light boxes

Many of you are familiar with my "wall-house" that I made for my daughter a few years back...I made it out of Xmas light boxes.

Little boxes AND (very important...) gold foil from the inside of chocolate bars. Ooh, aaaah.

I put them together with a stapler and glue gun, then painted them with acrylic (gesso first) and then glued on the wrappers which I had cut into pretty little shapes.

It's a doll house and hung on the wall of our last place for quite some time relatively untouched. She's more interested in taming wild animals and climbing trees than rearranging miniature furniture and porcelain animals it turns out.

Today I'm turning it into a shelf. HA!
