Dumpster diving: what to do with a...

Last night I went to the recycle bin and there was nothing in it. Aaaaah! What do I do? "The integrity of my project has been compromised!!!" (imagine this scene in Almodovar like technicolor - and me, a character in one of his movies thinking...as a voice on the big screen. It's better like that).

I look (longingly) again...and there it was. One Nordstrom catalogue sitting flat against the bottom...almost impossible to recognize as a piece of anything at all...BUT I wonder how many of those things get sent to the recycling center (not to mention the landfill) a year? Probably a whole lot.  OK - it's SOMETHING...but what do I do with it?

I do not know. Charlotte Valestra, an amazing local artist, did allot of great stuff with books and folding pages. I'm sure I could too. So, now I've got this pillar of curled pages...(see top) what can it be??? Help? What do you all think?
